When I heard that H&M were releasing a brand new beauty collection last week I was so excited. Their current collection was nothing more than average so after seeing pictures of their products in brand new luxury packaging I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it.
The packaging has had one hell of a makeover and looks far more luxurious than their previous beauty products. Each product comes in individual outer packaging which I think really takes their new range to the next level. The price point has also increased but from first impressions the quality is brilliant so the difference in cost is understandable.
Cream Lip Colour | £7.99
I’m so impressed with these lipsticks from first impressions. There’s a huge range of shades and from swatching their various colours in store I found them all to be incredibly pigmented, and as the name suggests, very creamy.
Heirloom is the perfect Autumn shade, it’s somewhere in between a deep red and a plummy purple but it’s more than your average deep lip colour.
Pomelo Juice is a stunning coral pink colour that would be suitable all year round. It would make a beautiful shade for the summer months but is also a lovely take on a nude lip for the colder months.
In A Nutshell is a beautiful brown nude that has pinky undertones. It also has that slight ‘greige’ tone to it that’s extremely popular at the moment.
Face and Eye Products:
Pure Radiance Powder Blush | £6.99
After scoping out all the blushes in store I went for Pink Peach which (as stated in the name) is a pinky peach shade. The powder itself feels extremely soft and not at all cheap – it’s finely milled so is fairly sheer but very build-able.
I couldn’t resist buying this eye shadow in shade Act Your Beige, it’s hard to tell from the above swatch but it’s actually a beautiful rose gold shade with slight shimmer. As with the blush, this eye shadow is extremely pigmented and has a buttery texture comparable to that of a high end eye shadow.
Colour Essence Eye Cream | £4.99
I’m a huge fan of cream eye shadows and Earth Angel is a beautiful warm brown shade that instantly caught my eye. I think these types of shadows are so quick and easy to apply and are also extremely versatile. First impressions are very good with this little product, the pigment packs one hell of a punch and the texture is actually more of a mousse than a cream – so I imagine this will blend like a dream.
Nail Polish | £3.99
Brickwork – Orange-esque rust shade
Plum Fool – A mid plum shade
I’ll be properly putting these new beauty bits to the test over the next couple of weeks, but so far I’m very impressed with the quality of their new collection.
Will you be picking up anything from H&M’s new beauty range?
